14-seed Davidson led by four with 20 seconds to go against 3-seed Marquette. This is how it all fell apart.

With 20 seconds to go, Davidson, a 14-seed, led Marquette, a 3-seed, by four. Despite Marquette's late three-point flurry, an upset looked all but certain after Nik Cochran hit two free throws.

But Marquette made it interesting by going down the court and hitting a tough three. They cut the lead to one, but there were 11 seconds left, and Davidson had the ball.

Then the unthinkable happened. Instead of waiting to get fouled, Davidson's De'mon Brooks tried to throw the ball downcourt to a teammate and ended up turning it over. With 6.7 seconds left, Marquette had one final chance.

Memphis survived an upset bid from St. Mary's. And boy, did they look relieved.

Down by five with seven seconds to go, 11-seed St. Mary's hit this absurd bank three to get within two of 6-seed Memphis.

In getting its first NCAA tournament win in program history, Harvard also carried out a basketball version of Revenge of the Nerds .

The New Mexico Lobos were a 3-seed. The Harvard Crimson were a 14-seed, already overachieving after losing two major players in the preseason due to a cheating scandal. And yet: Harvard pulled off its first tourney win in school history, beating UNM 68-62, much to the disappointment of people calling the Cambridge kids nerds.

Jeremy Lin Lost His Mind Over Harvard's Shocking March Madness Win

Seeing a pro athlete give in to this kind of fandom is awesome.

Late on Thursday night (early Friday morning on the East Coast), 14-seed Harvard shocked the basketball world and beat 3-seed University of New Mexico 68-62. It was Harvard's first ever tournament win.

WASHINGTON — Baltimore Ravens wide receiver Torrey Smith made an unconventional career move after his team won the Super Bowl: He took an internship with a member of Congress.

Smith interned during March for Rep. Elijah Cummings, a Maryland Democrat — and did an "outstanding job," the congressman said Friday.

"It was a pleasure having Torrey Smith intern with us, and I was glad that I could offer him the opportunity," Cummings said in a statement. "Torrey was eager to learn about the legislative process and was treated no differently than any of our other interns – all of whom play a meaningful and important role in helping me serve the constituents of Maryland's 7th District. I hope that this experience gave him the perspective he sought and I thank him for his outstanding work."

Smith worked primarily out of the congressman's Baltimore office, according to a post on the Ravens website, and performed average office duties such as reading letters from constituents.

The team's director of player development set up the internship for Smith, who was looking to do something interesting during his offseason.

Florida Gulf Coast was founded in 1991. They're a 15-seed. And they just beat Georgetown.

Florida Gulf Coast, a 15-seed in only its second year of tournament eligibility (the school was only founded in 1991!) defeated powerhouse 2-seed Georgetown.

Florida Gulf Coast led for most of the game, but Georgetown made a comeback down the stretch. Until Brett Comer threw an alley oop that Chase Fieler slammed down. It's the greatest dunk of this year's tournament. (And maybe of the last few tournaments.)
