Update: CBS will be using their new theme music to open the broadcast instead of Rihanna’s song. The singer lashed out at the network after they pulled her song from the inaugural broadcast of Thursday Night Football following the Ray Rice domestic violence controversy.

CBS could not confirm if Rihanna's song was scheduled to feature this week but their statement came after she essentially denied CBS access to her song in her tweet.
Last week, CBS pulled Rihanna's introduction song to its broadcast of Thursday Night Football in the wake of Ray Rice's suspension from the NFL for punching his wife in an elevator.
CBS pulled the opener that included Don Cheadle narrating over Jay Z's "Run This Town" featuring Rihanna, who was assaulted in 2009 by her then-boyfriend Chris Brown.
CBS Sports chairman Sean McManus told SI.com that they pulled the opener as well as a comic segment because, "We thought journalistically and from a tone standpoint, we needed to have the appropriate tone and coverage." Other production elements in the show were also eliminated because of time and tone, he said.
