This is not something you see every day.
In the top of the 7th inning of Thursday night's White Sox-Tigers game, Detroit outfielder Austin Jackson was taken out of the game after news broke that he was part of a three-team trade and would be dealt to the Seattle Mariners.
Although no formal announcement was made at the stadium, the home crowd seemed to understand the situation and gave Jackson a standing ovation as he trotted off the field for his last time as a Detroit Tiger.
And as he entered the dugout, Jackson was welcomed with a line of goodbye hugs from his Detroit teammates.
