Well, that escalated quickly.
In the top of the first inning of Wednesday night's Brewers-Braves game, Milwaukee center fielder Carlos Gomez and Braves catcher Brian McCann exchanged some possibly not-so-friendly words.
Then Gomez smacked a solo shot into the seats in left-center, taking some time to admire his home run.
As he started to round the bases, Gomez said something to pitcher Paul Maholm, and the combination of the smack talk and slow walk caused first baseman Freddie Freeman to yell at Gomez to hurry it up (or something like that).
But Gomez continued to talk shit throughout his home run trot, so McCann confronted him on the third base line in front of home plate.
