TV cameras don’t lie.

Televised sport gives us an excellent opportunity to see displays of magical power the government don't want us to see. Such as this hockey fan, who stopped the scoreboard from falling on the coach's head.

A true hero.

This darts player, who thought the cameras were off, can absorb objects around him and fart a dangerous noxious gas.

The technique was developed by the US military during the second world war.

Ken Griffey Jr., Mike Piazza Inducted Into Baseball Hall Of Fame

The official induction ceremony will be in July.

Twitter: @BaseballHall

Ken Griffey Jr. and Mike Piazza were voted into the Baseball Hall of Fame Wednesday.

It was Griffey's first year on the ballot. The criteria for entry is appearance on 75% of ballots submitted by tenured members of the Baseball Writers' Association of America (BBWAA).

An official induction ceremony will take place July 24 in Cooperstown, New York, the remote town where the Hall of Fame museum is located.

Jeff Bagwell, Tim Raines, and Trevor Hoffman were the closest runners up to the 2016 inductees.

The Hall of Fame relies on a controversial voting process. Ballots are received by BBWAA writers after they have spent 10 years as BBWAA members. Each voter is allowed to vote for up to ten candidates. The 2016 ballot listed 22 retired players. Voters have recently pushed the Hall of Fame to consider expanding the voting allowance to twelve candidates per ballot.

Candidates appear five years post-retirement, and until 2014, could stay on the ballot for up to fifteen years in order to gain the 75% of votes necessary for induction. But as more steroid-era players (Barry Bonds, Roger Clemens, Mark McGwire, Sammy Sosa) hit the ballot, the Hall of Fame reduced the period of eligibility to ten years per candidate, a passive but obvious attempt to throttle the campaigns of known PED users. This year was McGwire's tenth and last season on the ballot. He finished with votes from only 12.3% of voters.

No Hall of Fame candidate in history has ever received votes on 100% of ballots, but Griffey's 22-year career got him close. Griffey was voted in by all but 3 voters, giving him a tally of over 99%, shattering Tom Seaver's record of 98.8%.

Junior was named Rookie of the Year in 1989 and was named American League MVP in 1997. In his MVP season he hit .304/.382/.646 — batting average, on base percentage, and slugging percentage — and with 56 home runs. Griffey finished his career with 630 career home runs. Only five players in baseball history have had more career home runs.

Griffey, who spent thirteen seasons in Seattle, including the entirety of the 1990s, is the first Mariner to be inducted into the Hall of Fame.

West Indies and Melbourne Renegades cricketer Chris Gayle will be taking legal action against Fairfax Media over reports that he indecently exposed himself to a woman during last year Cricket World Cup, says Fox Sports News.

In the article, Fairfax alleges Gayle exposed himself to a woman working around the West Indies cricket team during the World Cup by pulling his towel down and revealing part of his genitals before saying "are you looking for this?"

The announcement follows comments made by Gayle earlier this week towards Channel 10 journalist Mel McLaughlin. In a post-match interview he said he "wanted to come and interview with her just to see her eyes for the first time."

He then asked McLaughlin if she was interested in "maybe some drinks later," telling her "not to blush baby."

Gayle faced public backlash following the remarks, as well as a $10,000 fine handed down to him from the Melbourne Renegades.

Beyoncé will return to the Super Bowl, joining headliner Coldplay in February for the halftime show, the Associated Press confirmed Thursday.

The halftime's sponsor, Pepsi, told the AP that the 34-year-old megastar will perform at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara, California, on Feb. 7 — confirming what Coldplay had mused roughly one month ago.

Beyoncé — who makes an appearance on Coldplay's new album — performed three years ago in Super Bowl XLVII, which also featured appearances from her Destiny's Child bandmates. Immediately following her performance, the power went out throughout the Mercedes-Benz Superdome, causing the game between the Ravens and 49ers to be temporarily delayed.

Former St. Louis Cardinals Scouting Executive Pleads Guilty To Hacking Houston Astros

Elsa / Getty Images

The St. Louis Cardinals' former director of scouting pleaded guilty Friday to five charges related to hacking into the Houston Astros' database.

Chris Correa was fired by the Cardinals in July after the FBI announced it was investigating the team for illegally accessing the Astros' scouting database.

Astros General Manager Jeff Luhnow had previously worked for the Cardinals' analytics department, and established the database the team uses for scouting and drafting. He took his position with the Astros in 2011. Correa had worked under Luhnow with the Cardinals from 2009 until his departure.

Luhnow created a similar scouting database in Houston and Correa became suspicious that the Astros were accessing the the one he created for the Cardinals. In July, the St. Louis Dispatch reported the events as follows:

The source said that Correa's involvement in the hacking began in 2013, in an attempt to determine whether Luhnow or any other former Cardinals employees took proprietary data to the Astros.

Correa's suspicions were aroused in part by a résumé in which a job seeker claimed expertise that Correa believed could have come only from working with Cardinals data, the source said.

In a document unsealed Friday, the federal government listed the allegations against Correa:

• March 2013: "Correa accessed Victim A's [Luhnow] Ground Control account, and downloaded an Excel file of the Astros' scouting list of every player eligible for that year's draft, and how each Astros scout ranked them."

• June 2013, during the MLB draft: Correa logged in again to Luhnow's Ground Control account and accessed data about prospects the Astros had taken, a player another team had taken, and "three players whom the Cardinals had drafted the day before."

• July 2013, MLB trade deadline: "Correa again accessed Victim A's Ground Control account and viewed the Astros' notes on its trade discussions with other teams."

In March 2014: The Astros made system changes to Ground Control following a story about the database in the Houston Chronicle. Concerned with privacy, the Astros did a system-wide password reset for Ground Control accounts. The government alleges Correa then "accessed Victim A's Astros e-mail account without authorization. There, he found the e-mails that contained Ground Control's new URL and the newly reset password." He then continued to browse the database, viewing "118 pages containing confidential information."

Beyond legal sanctions imposed on Correa, and any potential other Cardinals employees found to be involved, MLB Commissioner Rob Manfred can impose fines and other punishments on the team. Per league rules, teams can not sue each other.

Astros General Counsel Giles Kibbe released a statement shortly after Correa's plea:

We appreciate the thorough effort of the FBI and U.S. Attorney's office in their investigation of these criminal acts. It is important that we respect the process and not comment on the details at this time. This is a difficult day for all of Major League Baseball. The Astros refute Mr. Correa's statement that our database contained any information that was proprietary to the St. Louis Cardinals. We have a great amount of respect for Bill DeWitt and the Cardinals organization. And, we are confident that Commissioner Manfred will guide MLB through this process in the best way possible.

MLB released a short statement as well:

Major League Baseball appreciates the efforts of federal law enforcement authorities in investigating the illegal breach of the Astros' baseball operations database, and identifying the perpetrator of this crime. We anticipate that the authorities wills hare with us the results of their investigation at the appropriate time, and we will determine what further actions to take after receiving all the relevant information.

Everyone Is Upset With The 49ers... And I Mean Everyone!

There was a time (not too long ago) when the 49ers reigned supreme.

We had a great coach, a quarterback we could trust (well... almost trust) and the wins were piling up so fast we almost didn't know what to do with our hands. Then, the unthinkable happened. Our coach was FIRED (yeah, this lovable guy), our most valuable players retired or were traded to other teams and thus begun the most epic implosion in recent NFL history!

Fans were angry even celebrities felt the need to voice their frustration. Things were so bad this season even fictitious characters rose from their fictional graves to put in their two cents!

But enough from me. Let's see what Bane thinks about all this!

PSG claim that by wearing the jersey, on which the sponsor's name has been changed from (Dubai-based airline) "Fly Emirates" to "Fly Pirates", M.I.A has acted with "economic prejudice" and "image prejudice" towards the club.

"By causing us an image prejudice, you have unduly taken advantage from the considerable reputation of our club," reads the letter.

"Your actions are thus the source of both an economic prejudice and an image prejudice for which you may be held liable under Article 1382 of the French civil code."

M.I.A / YouTube / Via youtube.com

The club requested that M.I.A "cease the broadcast of images on any media which show the Paris Saint-Germain jersey" within 24 hours of the letter being received.

But with the letter clearly stamped as being received on 21 December 2015, their request has not been met by M.I.A or her management.

The letter ends with the suggestion that PSG could pursue legal action against M.I.A in the event that their request isn't met:

"We reserve the right to seek all remedies available to law to compensate the prejudice already suffered and that to come, and we reserve the right to start any procedure, including judicial ones, if needs be, to protect our interests."
