A spectator has narrowly escaped serious injury with complete class during round 12 of the GNCC Motorcross championships at Powerline Park in Ohio.
During the event a dirt bike rider was jumping over a pond of mud.
Upon landing the rider instantly lost control of the bike sending it sliding towards a group of spectators.
Fortunately a tree blocked the bike from hitting anyone but a man in front of the tree escaped serious injury by jumping the sliding motorcycle.
The spectator, who was on the phone at the time, wasn't phased by the crash and immediately returned to his phone call.

Two San Francisco radio stations have banned Lorde's hit song "Royals" from the airwaves while their Giants battle the Kansas City Royals in the World Series.
The Guardian reported:
KOIT's decision followed a torrent of complaints from their listeners. Critics claimed that by playing Royals KOIT was backing the wrong team to take home baseball's biggest prize, according to Fox 4 News. "Our listeners told us to do it, so we did it," declared programme director Brian Figula. "As of 4pm today we've removed Lorde's Royals from the our playlist until the end of the World Series. Go Giants, beat the Royals!"
We never thought we’d say this, but: We’re quickly becoming Royals fans.

Don’t worry, he’s OK.
In case you don't know or somehow forgot, Derrick Rose — the 2011 NBA MVP and pride of Chicago — is coming back from two reconstructive knee surgeries, which caused him to miss 154 out of the last 164 regular season games.
So on Monday night, after Rose drove to the lane and fell out of bounds, the entire Chicago Bulls team rushed to his side when he didn't immediately bounce back up.

Hari Kondabolu suggests the Washington Redskins change their logo to a severely sunburned white person. If they insist on keeping the name, that is.
As has been documented, the Washington Redskins and their fans don't want the team's name changed. So comedian Hari Kondabolu has an idea: Why not change their logo to a severely sunburned white person?
He's collecting submissions on a new Tumblr with the hashtag #newredskinslogo, and encouraging people to tweet their ideas at the Redskins.
This is Redskins owner Dan Snyder (with a nasty sunburn).

Michael Sam, the first out gay player drafted into the NFL, was released from the Dallas Cowboys today, the team announced.
Sam spent seven weeks with the Cowboys but was never promoted to the team's 53-man roster. He joined the club on Sept. 3 after being released the previous week by the St. Louis Rams, the team that drafted him near the end of the seventh round in May.
Sam later thanked the Cowboys for the opportunity in a series of tweets sent about an hour after he was reportedly released.

Meet Justin Roberts.
This 34-year-old professional wrestling ring announcer, best known for his work in the WWE, has documented his life in professional wrestling through his Instagram account. It's inspirational as hell.
Ever since he was a kid, Justin Roberts has always been a wrestling fan.
He would always somehow make it on TV during every WCW/WWF event in Chicago in the '90s.
He got to meet his childhood heroes like Shawn Michaels.

St. Louis Cardinals right fielder Oscar Taveras died in a car accident in the Dominican Republic, officials confirmed Sunday.
He was in his native country to play winter ball and was due to head back to Jupiter, Fla., for the Cardinals' spring training in January.
He was reportedly driving at the time of the accident from Sosua to Puerto Plata. Taveras' girlfriend also died in the crash, Agent Brian Mejia said.
"I spoke to the mayor of Sosua, Ylana Newman ... and she confirmed to us that Taveras lost control of his vehicle and went off the road," police spokesman Jacobo Mateo Moquete told The Associated Press.
Taveras points skyward after scoring on a solo home run in the seventh inning during Game 2 of the National League Championship Series against the San Francisco Giants at Busch Stadium in St. Louis. The Cardinals beat the Giants 5-4 to even the best-of-seven series at a game apiece.

The 22-year-old made his major league debut this year. He was a promising rookie and hit .239 with three homers and 22 RBIs in 80 games.
"I think he can be a star," manager Mike Matheny said last Monday at his season-ending press conference. "He proved that at times. Right to the end, he was very, very much into the competition. Yes, he wanted to be the guy out there every day. You see some things offensively that absolutely excite you."

Meyiwa, 27, helped his domestic team, the Orlando Pirates, progress to the semifinals of the South African League Cup as part of their 4-1 victory over Ajax Cape Town on Saturday.
The goalkeeper played in his country's last four Africa Cup of Nations qualifying games, and had yet to concede a goal during the team's campaign.
A statement from the South African Police Service said two men entered the house of Meyiwa's girlfriend — singer Kelly Khumalo — at around 8:00 p.m. local time (2:00 p.m. ET) on Sunday, while a third remained outside.
